Bigger Faith

"You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"
Matt 8:26

How much faith do we have on God? Dwell in His promises and believe all of His blessings are coming true in our lives! He is protecting you everyday. He is giving all that you abundantly. He is living within you comforting and being with you day and night.

The more we believe in the goodness of God, the more we will become bold and secure about our future. In Him, all things are possible. Are you ready for the exceeding blessings from God?

Doing God’s Word

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Matt 7:24

Here Jesus urges us to do what he said. So how do we become doers of Jesus' commandants? I believe setting the right mindset is the first step. We need to let the word of God grow in our heart and mind. It requires our desire and longing for His will to be done through us. The next step is to make his word our habit or our attitude. If He said we need to be thankful, we ought to fill ourselves with thanksgiving mindset and practice thanksgiving throughout the day. These are good spiritual exercise for us to live a life of victory.

Be Diligent

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise!
-Which, having no chief, overseer, or ruler,
Provides her food in the summer and gathers her supplies in the harvest.
(Proverbs 6:6-8)

When new opportunity comes, responsibility also comes. As God’s children, we are to boldly take up the responsibilities assigned by God and charge toward the goals we have in Him. We need to be like the ants and keep on working hard in the harvest time. If we keep persevering, we will reap the reward in the due time (Gal 6:9).

Be Holy

Be holy, because I am holy.
1 Pet 1:16

Intimate relationship with God requires us to be holy. He has also commanded us to be holy for Him. Daily we need to renew our mind, attitude, words and action, so that we can be on the right track in our Christian walk. God’s word is the purifying agent for us. Keep studying it and practicing it. We are on our way to successful Christian living!

The Mind of Christ

But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Cor 2:16

I have been reading a book called Battlefield of the Mind and it has been teaching me on how to recondition my mind. The aim is simple. It is to replace my mind by the mind of Christ. The plan is practical. I think I will be a lot better if I practise the 6 major direction: Positive Mind, God-minded, “God-loves-me”-minded, Exhortative Mind, Thankful Mind and Bible-minded.

May your mind be the same as Christ’s as well! It enables us to live our abundant life and glorify our Heavenly Father in all things!

Looking at the World

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged ...
Matt 7:2

How often do we judge others? The way we look at others and ourselves should be gracious and positive because we will be looked at the same way. We should have a good attitude that we find out the praiseworthy and excellent things about a person and ourselves instead of judging them. Keep on finding good things in this world! It will make our life more focused on God!

Be Content

He must become greater; I must become less.
John 3:30

Here John the Baptist demonstrated how to be content with who he is. It is a good thing because we'll feel secure and happy if we're comfortable with ourselves. We will also have a great self-image and fitting expectation. It is key to a healthy lifestyle.

Stir it up!

I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God
2 Timothy 1:6

I realise that I have to deal with the passivity in my life. There is a huge room for improvement in my activity. It won’t be easy to start and maintain a new habit for spiritual growth, but it is well worth it. Even Paul reminded Timothy to stir up his gift in Jesus. God gives us gifts to be used for His glory and we must be active in using them and press on for living a fruitful life!

Pleasant Words

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16:24

After reading this Bible verse, I realise how important it is to train myself to speak good and pleasant words in my life. They bring sweetness to souls and healing to bones. As we seek to be blessed by pleasant words flowing into our lives, we are best to first spread good words towards others.

Remember Jesus said that it is more blessed to give than to receive? Start giving pleasant words. The blessings of it is tremendous and it is a great joy to see people get blessed by what flow from our mouth.
